Interesting Facts

We welcome you for first time in the magestic land Halkidiki, the birthplace of Aristotle. In its wonderful beaches arrive each year millions of tourists from all over the world. The area with more and more beautiful beaches than any other region of mainland home for the first time a KOMM MIT tournament with high expectations both in terms of residence and in terms of equity.

Organization

In Pieria the tournament organized by KOMM MIT, with the support of the Deputy Mayoralty for Culture and Sports of Dion-Olympus Municipality. The Greek Football Festival organized by KOMM MIT, held under the auspices of Chalkidiki Football Union and with the support of the Sports Organization of Kassandra’s Municipality.

Sports facilities

Games are played on the nearby natural grass pitches of Litochoro (stadium), Leptokarya, Dion in Pieria and Kassandra (stadium), Nea Fokaia, Kalandra in Chalkidiki. All pitches are full equipped with changing rooms and showers.

Lodging

The teams are accommodated in high standard holiday hotels (****), in self-contained rooms with three, or four beds. Adults accompanying the teams can book single or double-bedded rooms at an extra charge.

Board

Full board (buffet-style Greek and international cuisine) is provided throughout your stay. First meal: dinner, last meal: breakfast.

Excursions

Many excursions in both natural and ancient monuments of the northern part of Greece are offered (i.e. Mt. Olympus, Mont Athos, the ancient Macedonian cities of Pella, Vergina, Dion and Meteora Monasteries) as well as visit to the city of Thessaloniki.

Transfer

If you arrive “on your own” - by private car, bus, train or airplane, please always consider that you have to be mobile on site. The KOMM MIT staff will be pleased to help you book your airport shuttle and / or your bus transfer during the tournament.
