Interesting Facts

As a KOMM MIT tournament country, the small neighbour of three big football nations has a lot to offer: Excellent accommodation, a wide programme of recreational and sporting activities at the Sunparks "de Kempense Meren" and the perfectly equipped sports facility of Lommel - great conditions for unlimited football fun just on your doorstep! The popular amusement park Bobbejaanland and the Olmen zoo are also only a short hop from there. Half board accommodation is provided in the Sunparks "de Kempnse Meren" houses. Thanks to the short travel distance and good infrastructure, the tournament country Belgium is an ideal destination for a football and adventure weekend.

Organization

The tournaments are organized by the KVSK United-Overpelt Lommel, “de Kempense Meren” Sunparks, the City of Lommel and KOMM MIT.

Sports facilities

There are 10 high-quality natural grass pitches at the Lommel sports ground.

Lodging

Teams and accompanying persons will be staying in 6-8 persons houses* at “de Kempense Meren” Sunparks; 4 persons houses* can be booked on request (*only full occupancy, there are surcharges for vacant beds per house).

Board

Half-board is provided throughout your stay. Breakfast and dinner will be served in the park. There are catering stands on the sports grounds and shopping facilities at the park.

Excursions

Beside the tournament there are lots of possibilities for excursions and recreational activities: Enjoy the variety of sports and leisure facilities at “de Kempense Meren” Sunparks, have a swim at the Sunparks swimming-pool “Aquafun” (free entry), or enjoy the fun rides at the Bobbejaanland amusement park - it’s up to you!

Transfer

If you arrive “on your own”- by private car, bus, train or airplane, please always consider that you have to be mobile on site. The KOMM MIT staff will be pleased to help you book your airport shuttle and/ or your bus transfer during the tournament.
