Interesting Facts

Located on the river Rhine, between the Black Forest and the Vosges, the small and sun-spoiled city of Kehl welcomes its visitors with a German-French charm of its own. Only separated from its neighbour France and the very European city of Strasbourg, by the river Rhine, you will find the perfect venue for a truly European football tournament. Strasbourg, only a stone's throw away, invites to take strolls and to spend some time with its European culture, unique architecture, Alsatian cuisine and nice fashion boutiques. Accommodation is provided at a tented camp, in youth hostels and in hotels or pensions. Experience an exciting combination of football fever, European encounters and campground atmosphere with our international teams.

Organization

The Elsass-Spring-Cup is organized by the football club Kehler FV 07, the City of Kehl and KOMM MIT.

Sports facilities

A big part of the matches will be played in the famous “Rheinstadion Kehl”; the other matches are played on natural grass pitches and on a man-made grass-like pitch in Kehl and the surrounding area.

Lodging

Accommodation is provided at a tented camp on the sports grounds (18 to max. 24 persons per tent). Adequate bathroom facilities are on site. Please bring your air mattress and a sleeping bag. Alternative accommodation is provided at a youth hostel or a hotel (on request) in Kehl and the surrounding area.

Board

Full-board is provided for all participants who have booked tented camp accommodation. The meals are served in a catering tent on site. At the Ortenberg youth hostel half-board is provided. If you prefer accommodation at a hotel you can book breakfast only or half board. On the sports ground food is available at the snack bars.

Excursions

Apart from the tournament and the “ALLtogether”-programme, there is a lot more to enjoy: Have a boat trip on the Rhine River or go for a walk through Kehl by night. Experience the thrill rides and many other fascinating attractions of the amazing Europa-Park Rust, Germany’s biggest theme park. Or have a relaxing swim in the outdoor pool next to the stadium!

Transfer

If you arrive “on your own”- by private car, bus, train or airplane, please always consider that you have to be mobile on site. The KOMM MIT staff will be pleased to help you book your airport shuttle and/ or your bus transfer during the tournament.
