KOMM MIT fondé en 1983, est partenaire de coopération du DFB dans le domaine de l’encadrement de la jeunesse et organise, depuis plus de 25 ans maintenant, des rencontres de jeunes, sportives et culturelles en Europe, en particulier en Espagne, en Italie, en Croatie, aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique et en Allemagne. Parallèlement à cela, de nombreux projets de promotion du football des jeunes ont été et sont initiés ou activement soutenus.

Au cœur des actions, on retrouve, comme depuis toujours, l’organisation de rencontres de football de jeunes (garçons et filles âgés de 10 ans et plus) issus de clubs tous pays confondus qui sont affiliés à des fédérations nationales rattachées à l’UEFA par extension à la FIFA. Entre-temps, ce sont plus de 1300 équipes issues de plus de 30 nations qui, chaque année, avec leurs entraîneurs et leur coachs, leurs parents, leurs amis, leurs frères et sœurs, rendent honneur à notre mission, celle de promouvoir le football de la jeunesse et par ce biais, de promouvoir une cohabitation des différents pays dans la paix et en abolissant les frontières culturelles. Sur les terrains de football, les différentes équipes mesurent leurs performances sportives à l'aune de celles de leurs homologues à l’échelle internationale, elles participent à un riche échange d’idées et d’expériences, scellent des amitiés et bien entendu, découvrent le pays et les habitants des différents pays d’accueil.

Les manifestations sont organisées dans le cadre d’une coopération entre les fédérations nationales, les clubs de sport locaux et les mairies respectives. Des collaborateurs qualifiés et expérimentés se tiennent à disposition des participants pendant tout le déroulement de ces événements, de la planification au retour chez eux des équipes. Ils contribuent à transformer les tournois de football en véritables expériences inoubliables. Dear football friends,

Immediately before the start of the new season in amateur and professional football, it is worth looking back shortly once again. The European championships in Switzerland and Austria brought us great success and a wonderful football festival with our national team’s entry to the finals. The festival was characterised by peaceful and merry mood in the European championship stadia and at the public viewing places all over the continent. It was once more clarified even in the previous tournament season of our long-term cooperation partner in the field of youth work, KOMM MIT, that football is an important social force. Especially the big jubilee tournament commemorating 25 years of KOMM MIT’s existence that was staged under the patronage of UEFA which brought together U15 boys and girls teams from almost all UEFA member states for a week a few days after EURO 2008 lived up to our understanding of football and international understanding.

We are now looking forward to new, exciting tasks and events. Apart from a thrilling qualification for the football world championships 2010 in South Africa, today we are already looking forward to the women’s world championships 2011 in our own country. The preparations for the “reunion at friends’” are already in top gear. The wonderful performance of our women’s national team not only fuels the anticipation but it also contributes to more girls getting interested in football and new teams arising in many places.

We are certainly eagerly looking forward to the new season with all its emotional moments, surprising victories and painful defeats in all leagues and age-groups. At this point, I wish all the players all the best and above all things, fair and dedicated football games.

In 2008, KOMM MIT has successfully organised 20 youth football tournaments with about 1,400 teams and hence contributed extraordinarily to international youth, sports and cultural meetings in Europe. Therefore, I would like to recommend the international KOMM MIT youth football tournaments with regard to your scheduling for 2009. Football notably connects boys and girls from different countries and cultures. Within the framework of many programme points, the “ALLtogether” is in the fore of tournament events besides the sports competition. Doing something together, standing up for each other, getting to know each other better and understanding – how could this succeed better than through sports, especially through football?
