The “Fußballhelden – Aktion junges Ehrenamt” award is a recognition and appreciation by the DFB and its 21 regional football associations for voluntary commitment in amateur football. The application phase has now begun and runs until 30 September 2022.
The Football Heroes 2023
The most important requirements are that the potential winner is between 18 and 30 years old and will be active in one of the above-mentioned positions in the 2022/2023 season. With all the district winners to Spain!
Every football district in Germany provides a district winner of the “Football Heroes”! The reward for the award is an invitation to the five-day “Football Heroes Educational Trip” to Spain.
For one week, participants are taught theoretical and practical knowledge about children’s and youth football by a highly qualified team of instructors put together by the DFB.
Learning takes place in workshops specially tailored to the needs of the participants, alternately on the course and in seminar rooms. The training is rounded off by varied optional offers and leisure activities under the Spanish sun directly on the Mediterranean Sea! Among other things, an excursion to Barcelona with a visit to the legendary Camp Nou stadium is on the programme.
The football heroes’ educational trip takes place in cooperation with KOMM MIT satt. The sponsor of children’s and youth football has been an official cooperation partner of the DFB in the area of youth development since 19983 and has supported voluntary work for almost 30 years.
