125 football heroes meet in Duisburg

The Football Heroes Educational Trip 2021 will take place from 15 to 19 September at the Sportschule Wedau. In Duisburg, a great programme awaits the football heroes for every football enthusiast. In addition to learning units on and off the pitch, the committed volunteers also experience a colourful social programme.

Qualified instructors from the DFB and the regional football associations are responsible for the content of the theoretical and practical workshops. In addition to the learning units, the participants will visit the German Football Museum in Dortmund and get exclusive insights at the match of the German national futsal team against Wales.

In addition to the personal development and networking opportunities for the participants, the clubs also benefit from the further education of their young, committed talents.

In 2016, the DFB launched the “Junges Ehrenamt – FUSSBALLHEDLEN” campaign. The German Football Association (DFB) and KOMM MIT have been honouring football heroes from all over Germany ever since. In every football district in Germany, young volunteers who have rendered outstanding services to youth football in their club were honoured by the DFB. The winners will be invited by the DFB and KOMM MIT to a five-day football hero educational trip.

KOMM MIT has been supporting voluntary work at the grassroots level for more than 30 years and therefore knows without a doubt that German football would not be what it is today without voluntary work. Every day, numerous officials get involved to offer children and young people in particular the opportunity to engage in sporting activities in their free time.
